OKAY so I saw this a few days ago and was like “whatever” but then I smashed my phone in a car door, had to clean up some dead baby bunnies in my yard, and have just generally NOT had a good week. I’m fucking spooked and I’m reblogging this twice to get the universe to stop.

Icelandic magical staves (sigils) are symbols credited with magical effect preserved in various grimoires dating from the 17th century and later. According to the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft, the effects credited to most of the staves were very relevant to the average Icelanders of the time, who were mostly substitence farmers and had to deal with harsh climatic conditions.

This old chicken coop in Santa Barbara is now the space of Goop headquarters, Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand for wellness, travel, food, beauty, style, and work. The interior design has been conceived by Melanie Burstin from Homepolish together with Goop’s creative director, Brittany Pattner. The project has kept as much of the original structure, making the space chic and simple, including the sleek design of STUA Gas chairs, some of the first items to arrive into the space.
